The contribution of ab medica Italy has been expressed over the last 20 years in various medical fields:


1987: introduction of the trilight catheter.
ab medica introduces in the anaesthesia field the multilumen catheter, which is now the standard in infusion therapy in critical patients.


1992: organization of the first International Workshop Treatment of Intracranial Aneurism in San Servolo, Venice.
ab medica gets together the best neuroradiologists and neurosurgeons in the world, starting up the Interventional Neuroradiology (endovascular treatment of aneurisms). Following the workshop, ab medica organizes for three consecutive years seminars in the biggest Italian centers where Professor Jacques Moret of the Fondation Ophtalmologique Adolphe de Rothschild in Paris, the world number one, teaches Italian specialists this discipline.


1994: organization of the first Italian Neuroradiology conference at Isola d’Elba.
This congress is the most important annual event in Italy for Neuroradiology.


1995: introduction of Laparoscopic Surgery without using gas (Gasless System by Origin).


1996: organization of the first International Workshop on Interventional Paediatric Cardiology in Massa Carrara.
ab medica will then acquire Aga medical products, in particular Amplatzer PFO that allows you to close the foramen ovale by percutaneous. The Workshop IPC has come to the seventh edition and is among the main events in the world for updating interventionists cardiologists paediatricians.


1999: introduction in Italy of the first System "Da Vinci".
The system operates successfully in 27 centers in Italy, with excellent results in General Surgery, Urology and Gynaecology.


2003: introduction of the system "CyberKnife" for Stereotactic Radiosurgery, a first in Italy and Europe.


2004: foundation of the first " Educational Center of Experimental Robotics Surgery" in Grosseto.
Directed by Prof. Giulianotti, the Center is the focal point for worldwide use of robots "Da Vinci" in General Surgery.


2005: introduction of the first telemedicine system RP-7 Intouch Health at the HSR in Milan.


2006: introduction in Europe of Esophyx, the first product to Endoluminal Surgery totally not-invasive.


2007 (January): organization of the first International Users' Meeting for EndoGastricSolutions in Venice.


2007 (April): organization of the first Users' Meeting "Da Vinci" at the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan.
